Hey all. I'm sure you've heard in the news where a guy is being fired because he's a smoker. Well the guy is now suing scotts garden his employer. Now while I don't like smoking I think it is very wrong in my oppinion to fire someone just because they are a smoker. I've heard about that now where you can even be fired for smoking at home and apparently this company follows that. I feel the guy has a right to smoke and that it is very hard for someone to just give up cold turkey. I don't think these company realize how hard it is to quit nor they care. If I were a smoker I feel that it's my right and my employer has no business interveening with my habits that are hard to give up. If all companies start issuing this policy I guess the unemployment rait will go way up because of a lot of smokers in our society, then society will wonder why we have a lot of unemployment in the world, well it's because of companies like scotts garden that have these stupid policies in place that get into peoples personal business. I honestly hope the guy wins the lawsuit because he has the right to smoke in his home, in a toilet, etc. Thoughts anyone?

I think anyone should be able to smoke if they want to. I don't think it's right at all for people to be able to fire smokers. Especially if they dont' do it at work. That's just pure bull shit. Our laws are going against all these little things that don't hurt anybody but they let the bigger things go. Very stupid.
